Your tactical gear works hard for you — a little regular care goes a long way in making it last for years instead of months.
Backpacks
Empty and shake out your bag after every trip to remove dirt and debris. Spot-clean fabric with mild soap and water, and avoid machine washing, which can damage zippers and structure. Let it air dry fully before storing to prevent mildew.
Leather Gloves
Wipe down leather gloves with a damp cloth after heavy use. Let them air dry away from direct heat, which can cause cracking. A leather conditioner every few months keeps the material supple.
Welding & Heavy-Duty Gloves
Inspect seams and stitching regularly for wear, especially after exposure to heat or sparks. Replace immediately if you notice thinning material near the palm or fingers.
General Storage Tips
Store gear in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. UV exposure breaks down fabric and straps over time, and humidity encourages mold growth.
Taking a few minutes after each use adds months, sometimes years, to your gear's lifespan.
